Dance-Off

This project was an in-class assignment for my Cinematography class. One of the coolest things about it was that we got to work with a Blackmagic Ursa cinema camera. The footage was so high quality, and it was amazing to see what my future professional projects could look like.
One thing I was not really expecting was the sheer size of the files that were transferred to us. It took at least an hour to move them from Dropbox to my hard drive. One of them was 16 gigabytes. I remember when smartphone companies were proud to say their products had 16 gigabytes of storage. To think I wouldn't be able to watch a 2-minute video of college students boogieing down in colorful lighting on my iPhone 6 completely blows my mind.
I had an absolute blast editing this. We weren't required to as a part of the class, but Emily, the go-getter she is, decided to completely disregard every actual final project she had and create this instead.
