l'homme poisson appelé « gil »

A freshwater college student goes to great lengths to fit in, ultimately returning to what he knows best. This is a silent narrative film in which a fish-person-hybrid-but-not-like-a-mermaid finds home in an unlikely place, a manmade pond by the rec center on campus, after other unsucessful attempts to curb his feelings of homesickness.

This was our first project in a general filmmaking class I took the semester of Fall 2025. We were split into groups of five or six people and sent out to make a short film within one class period. We then were each given the footage to edit on our own. By the end of the project there were six separate short films about a fish man that each were telling their own stories. It was a good way to get collaborative with my peers, and was one of a few group projects that I actually enjoyed doing since it took place during a class period.
